JBL PartyBox Stage 320 Bluetooth Party Speaker Stereo

A versatile and powerful battery powered unit.

The PartyBox 320 is a great versatile unit with awesome sound. It has a great range in sound quality. There is adjustability in the app, but its standard sound is great at low and high volumes. I play a wide variety of music and am quite pleased with the ability to hit low bass, as well as mids, and highs. From the basketball floor pump-up jams, to light background guitar it sounds great. The unit as a whole feels very solid and well built. All knobs and buttons feel premium. All panels and plugs are covered with a dust and splash-resistant cover with grommet. Very helpful when I get caught in the rain! The top panel, which is splash-resistant as well, gives you light control over the light show and volume control. Also pairing abilities and bass button. There are 3 colorful buttons on the top that are nice looking but practically useless. Behind that we have mic controls. It gives full control over the mic with 4 knobs for volume, bass, treble, and echo. This can also be controlled via JBL PartyBox app. The back panel folds down revealing the TS connection for 2 mics or a mic and guitar (with gain control) as well as a usb slot for charging, aux plug and a tether plug. There is an LED light that shines on the panel when you open it. So helpful as this area is often very hard to see without light. The slide-up handle paired with the wheels is very nice and helpful for getting around. The light show is really fun at times. But when lights are off the speaker can just blend in to the background and not be a distraction. It has a spot under it for mounting on a pole to get it off the ground. One part I almost forgot to mention because it’s so used and obvious is the battery! Having this whole unit run on a battery makes it so easy to setup and go. The JBL PartyBox App is quite helpful and really allows you to gain control over the features. You can set the lights however much or little you want. Having control over the mic from app has proven helpful when the mic is left on or when I need to adjust the sound when I am someone else is using and I am not by the speaker. In the app I have control over adjusting the music being played through my mobile device, though I often don’t feel the need. For connecting your mobile device, you are limited to an aux plug and Bluetooth.

Beach Party

Every year we go away as a family along with our local rugby team on what is called our "rugby tour" the idea of said tour is to go away and play against various teams, however what it ends up being is all of the groups sitting around outside, chatting and enjoying some music together and this JBL PartyBox stage 320 was ideal for sitting it on the beach beside us blasting away. It seems to be unidirectional so you'll get the best if the sound in front of the speaker and a lot less behind which is great for us as we point it towards us and we're not bothering people any further up the beach. We played it all day and still got plenty of battery left after all day using it, so the battery in it is perfectly capable for it's use.

The integrated, telescoping handle and wheels allow for easier mobility, similar to a carry-on suitcase, allowing you to bring the party wherever you go. I loved the fact that It can be a self-powered, standalone speaker for parties, outdoor gatherings, or karaoke nights—this last one was a hit with the kids! It can also be paired with other PartyBox speakers to create a larger and even more immersive experience, complete with the requisite light show. You can connect a pair of microphones or a guitar and a microphone; though I did not have a guitar to try this out, but it’s a very nice feature to have. The included removable battery extends its versatility as it allows the party to keep going for up to a claimed 18 hours on a single charge. I have enjoyed extended listening sessions in the garage without worrying about running out of power, though the longest was about 10 hours, it’s still impressive. The speaker can also be operated while plugged into an AC outlet for continuous use, as it recharges the battery. Bluetooth connectivity seemed rock-solid using my smartphone and a tablet. The speaker also gives you input options, including USB and an auxiliary input, providing compatibility with a wide range of devices. Based on my usage and the performance I got out of it, the JBL PartyBox Stage 320 is a superior portable speaker that combines exceptional sound quality, a durable design, and user-friendly features. Its powerful output, immersive soundstage, and versatile functionality make it my go-to choice for parties, outdoor events, and karaoke nights.
