Software didn't work

Its an amazing mouse. The speed is exceptional, love the look and the lights. The weights are great, if you remove all the mouse is really light however the software for the mouse did not work. It kept saying device not connected. The top layer of the mouse seemed to be fading as I used it and I only had it a few days.
